About the Opportunity
As part of the City Operations Program, the Tree Protection Officer plays an important role in looking after Adelaide’s much-loved urban forest. Day to day, this means working closely with the Arboriculture and Horticulture teams to support projects from start to finish, reviewing designs to minimise tree impacts, and providing practical advice and reports to guide decision-making. It’s also about building strong relationships. Whether you’re partnering with residents, businesses, government agencies, or community organisations, you will be delivering outcomes that balance growth, development, and sustainability.
This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with community connection. From shaping policies and procedures to coordinating resources and supporting customer requests, the Tree Protection Officer helps ensure Adelaide remains a green, vibrant, and liveable city for generations to come.
