About the Opportunity
The Technical Officer, Cleansing plays a critical role in planning and coordinating workforce schedules to support reliable, high-quality service delivery. This role ensures resources are used effectively across Street Services and Essential Services, with a strong focus on meeting operational needs and delivering positive outcomes for both internal and external customers.
Using data and insight, you will develop and maintain flexible, responsive rostering solutions that balance planned and unplanned activities, including leave, training and reactive work. Working closely with Workgroup Leaders and other stakeholders, you will support clear communication around workforce availability and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations.
This role also contributes to a positive and high-performing workplace culture through collaboration, innovation and a customer-focused mindset. You will stay informed on best practice in workforce scheduling and demonstrate a strong commitment to Council’s values, including safety, diversity, ethical conduct and continuous improvement.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Extensive experience in the workforce planning, and scheduling of staff across multiple skill sets.
- Proven analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on operational insight.
- Proficiency in use of Asset Management software (Assetic) knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to manage small-scale projects, implement changes, and support process improvements.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers and customers and negotiate on behalf of Council
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills that have ability to communicate to various different stakeholders in a professional manner.
