Are you ready to make an impact in our fully equipped and climate-controlled workshop? We’re looking for a mechanic to keep the City of Adelaide’s fleet running smoothly.


From utes and trucks to backhoes, mowers, street sweepers, electric vehicles, motorbikes, and more, you’ll work on a wide variety of plant and fleet where no two days are the same!

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A trade qualification in Mechanical Repairs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with others.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively in a friendly team environment that promotes safety, training and wellbeing.
  • Ability to learn new skills and willingness to share ideas and embrace change.
  • Experience working on a variety of Plant from Construction, Parks and Gardens and Cleansing Services would be beneficial.

Please be advised this is a full time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Metal -  Mechanic Classification commencing at $80,516 + superannuation. You will also be provided with income protection and journey insurance at no additional cost, in accordance with our enterprise agreement on top of a wide range of benefits.
