About the Opportunity
We’re looking for someone who’s hands-on, safety-minded, and enjoys working outdoors as part of a down-to-earth team.
As a General Labourer / Plant Operator based at our Greenwaste Recycling Centre and Nursery, you’ll be helping to keep things running smoothly, operating machinery, assisting customers, and carrying out day-to-day labouring tasks that make a real impact in our community.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Operate equipment like trucks, loaders and forklifts
- Help customers dropping off green waste or picking up materials
- Keep the site tidy, safe and well organized
- Pitch in with admin tasks, payments and general upkeep
You’ll be part of a supportive crew that works hard and looks out for each other, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork and doing the job right the first time.

Our ideal General Labourer & Plant Operator
We believe that a great candidate for this role is someone that is dependable and lets their work speak for themselves. We pride ourselves in having a team that gets the job done while also having a great workplace culture.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Working knowledge of the safe operation of specialised machinery used in the construction and maintenance industry.
- Practical knowledge of the fundamental nature of construction practices, products and techniques employed in the construction and maintenance of civil / municipal infrastructure including experience with asphalt.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with members of the public and community groups.
- A Certificate III in Civil Construction or demonstrated experience within the civil construction and maintenance industry.
- The following qualifications:
- MR Truck Licence
- Work Zone Traffic Management Licence
- White Card
- A team player but also self-motivated and happy to work independently.
