About the Opportunity
Our City Operations team is looking for new team members to join as a Waste & Cleansing Team Member.
Our team ensures that our City’s assets, including streets, parks and other public spaces are attractive, clean, well presented and maintained so we all have a city to enjoy and be proud of. You will be working with the Street Services in cleansing under the Work Group Leader. Amongst your roles and responsibilities, you may be required to work different duties such as:
- Footpath Sweeping
- Streets and Parks Waste Collection
- Leaf Blowing of Footpaths
- Cleaning of Catchpits

Our ideal Waste & Cleansing Team Member

We are looking for an individual who is after a role they can grow in (whether you are just starting out or looking for a stable career) and someone who is after an opportunity to be a part of the community they live in.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The ability to work 4am – 1pm shifts, as this isn’t a standard 9-5 role.
- General knowledge of the operational functions of cleaning in a workgroup is desirable.
- Experience in or willingness to learn the operations associated with the cleaning and waste management of the public realm.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn municipal waste management practices from collection through to processing.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- A team player but also self-motivated and happy to work on their own

Please be advised this is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Grade 3 Classification commencing at $69,042 + 12% super.
