About the Opportunity
This role plays a hands-on part in keeping Adelaide’s urban spaces safe, functional, and welcoming. The Asset Maintenance Team Member is responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of Council assets — including monuments, water features, public art, street and parkland furniture, playground equipment,Parklands and Streets encing and gates
Day to day, the role involves carrying out planned maintenance and repairs, assisting with materials and daily operations, and keeping accurate records to support future maintenance planning. You’ll also contribute to the installation of new urban assets as part of capital works and improvement projects.
Working safely and efficiently is key, as is providing great service to both internal and external customers. Collaboration is central to the role — you’ll work closely with teammates and the Asset Maintenance Coordinator to ensure maintenance activities are completed to a high standard and within service levels.
This is a practical, team-based role where your attention to detail, problem-solving approach, and commitment to quality workmanship help enhance the experience of everyone who enjoys Adelaide’s public spaces.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Trade certificate in a related discipline or demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualification.
- C class drivers and forklift licence
- Sound practical knowledge of the fundamental nature of a Works Depot, practices and procedures in Plant storage and general yard duties.
- Ability to carry out a multitude of trade related maintenance tasks associated with the day-to-day management of public infrastructure.
- Self-motivated, results oriented and able to initiate actions to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with members of the public and community groups.
