About the Opportunity

Do you love Adelaide? Do you know the best places to eat, what’s happening this weekend, where to find a hidden gem, or which way to point someone when they’re completely lost in the city? If you love chatting to people and sharing what makes Adelaide and South Australia special, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to join us as Visitor Experience Assistants  as we prepare to open our new Experience Adelaide Visitor Centre. You’ll be one of the welcoming faces helping visitors and locals discover more of Adelaide and South Australia. No two conversations will be the same. One minute you might be helping a family plan their day, the next you could be recommending your favourite restaurant, explaining how to get somewhere or helping someone find their way to an event.

This is a great opportunity for people from all walks of life. You might be a university student looking for some work alongside your studies, someone looking to stay connected and do something meaningful in semi-retirement, or simply someone who loves people, Adelaide and having a good chat.

What matters most to us is your enthusiasm and genuine desire to help people have a great experience. You’ll also be comfortable using digital tools and technology, and confident learning new systems and platforms.

As we work towards opening the new Experience Adelaide Visitor Centre, you’ll be part of bringing something exciting to life. You’ll provide visitor information from our centre and out and about in the city, including supporting our Mobile Visitor Information Bike. You’ll also help people make the most of their time in Adelaide by sharing your local knowledge, finding and using reliable information, keeping up to date with what’s happening across the city and region, and making sure everyone feels welcome.

You don’t need to know every restaurant, event and laneway in Adelaide by heart. We’re looking for people who are naturally curious, enjoy learning and, most importantly, love making someone’s day a little easier. If you’re the kind of person who gets excited when someone asks, “What should we do while we’re here?”, this could be right up your alley.
