About the Opportunity

Looking for a role where you can lead with purpose and shape a more sustainable, resilient future for your city? This is your opportunity to create meaningful impact, both for the community today and for generations to come.

As Team Leader, Low Carbon & Circular Economy, you'll guide a dedicated and values-driven team to deliver real outcomes across emissions reduction, waste minimisation, and smarter use of resources in the heart of Adelaide. You'll be a key player in shaping the city’s future, working across Council, government, business and community to co-design policy, deliver strategic projects, and embed circular thinking in how we plan, operate, and grow.

This role sits within the Park Lands, Policy & Sustainability Program, and plays a crucial role in delivering Council’s Integrated Climate Strategy 2030, Economic Development Strategy 2024–2028 and broader strategic goals. You’ll be working on projects that are not only innovative, but community-led and outcome-focused, helping make Adelaide a national and global leader in low carbon and circular economy thinking.

You’ll thrive here if you enjoy collaboration and influence just as much as policy and data. You’ll be guiding a team of specialists, building strategic partnerships, and bringing stakeholders together to turn ambitious ideas into measurable change.

Whether you're experienced in sustainability leadership or ready to take the next step in your career, this is a unique opportunity to lead with purpose in a city that’s ready to do things differently.
