About the Opportunity
As Project Coordinator, Reconciliation, you’ll provide comprehensive administrative and project coordination support across a range of reconciliation-focused initiatives. A key part of your role will be supporting the implementation of City of Adelaide’s 2024 - 2027 Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan and assisting with the operations of the Reconciliation Committee.
You’ll contribute to the successful delivery of key events and engagement activities such as NAIDOC Week and National Reconciliation Week, while preparing reports, presentations, research materials and communications that help keep projects on track and stakeholders well-informed. You'll also play a key role in maintaining accurate and accessible stakeholder lists, website content and published materials.
Working closely with the Team Leader, Reconciliation and a range of internal and external stakeholders, you’ll help shape and coordinate activities that reflect the goals of the Reconciliation Action Plan. You’ll bring strong organisational skills, cultural awareness and a collaborative approach to ensure projects are delivered with care, respect and professionalism.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in project management.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues that impact on Aboriginal people and Aboriginal communities
- Knowledge of community engagement principles and their application.
- Experience in providing a broad range of administrative services at an advanced level and with high levels of accuracy.
- An understanding of general urban and social policy issues relevant to local government including strategy and policy, social planning and reconciliation.
- Ability to build positive relationships and communicate with all levels of management and staff, and the community, both verbally and in writing.
