About the Opportunity
The Park Lands Planning Support Officer plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of key initiatives that shape the future of Adelaide’s iconic Park Lands. Working within the Park Lands, Policy & Sustainability Program, this position provides high-level administrative and project support to the Park Lands Planning Team and the Kadaltilla / Adelaide Park Lands Authority Advisor.
This role supports the delivery of significant strategic outcomes, including the implementation of the Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy – Towards 2036, the Integrated Climate Strategy 2030, and projects aligned with both Council’s Strategic Plan 2024–2028 and Kadaltilla’s Strategic Plan 2023–2028.
From coordinating meetings, workshops, and forums, to supporting policy development, project tracking, and reporting, the role ensures the team’s priorities are delivered efficiently and effectively. The position also contributes to communications, grants management, procurement, and the ongoing enhancement of administrative systems and processes.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the role and value of parks and open space for the community.
- Understanding of, and experience in, contemporary engagement techniques/processes.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated high levels of initiative, accountability, organisational and time management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- A commitment to internal and external customers demonstrated through the provision of timely and reliable information.
