Your opportunity
This role plays an important part in shaping how the Market connects with its customers, traders and the wider community. As the Marketing Executive, you will support the Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver the annual marketing plan, ensuring l campaign and promotional activity reflects our Business Plan, Strategic Plan and Community Engagement Plan. You will work closely with traders to develop retail marketing initiatives and customer experience improvements, while also leading the way in integrating social media across the organisation. Your work will help ensure our digital presence is consistent, contemporary and reflective of the Market’s brand and values.

 

 

You will plan and implement campaigns, coordinate digital content, and use customer insights and research to guide marketing decisions. Strong collaboration sits at the heart of this role. You will partner with agencies, work cross-functionally with the Retail team, engage with traders  and contribute to tourism programs in collaboration with the City of Adelaide. You will also provide guidance to traders and staff on how to use social media effectively to lift engagement and strengthen communication.

 

 

The role includes developing and editing a range of marketing and communications materials, managing campaign budgets, supporting events and overseeing key administration requirements relating to merchandise, tour groups, busking and filming requests. You will build strong relationships with traders, media, precinct partners and internal stakeholders, and you may also assist the General Manager with project-based work as needed.

About You


To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing across a range of consumer/market sectors.
  • Experience in the development, execution and evaluation of communications plans and strategy, incorporating the use of social media.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing services relationship management.
  • Strong writing and editing skills adaptable to various target audiences and for a range of purposes including publications, web and reports.
  • Knowledge of procedures and processes required to initiate, develop and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to think creatively, to work under pressure.
  • Experience in retail marketing and merchandising.
  • A proven commitment to internal and external customers demonstrated through the provision of timely, reliable and expert advice on matters within area of responsibility.
