As Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll lead the voice, vision and visitor experience of the Adelaide Central Market at a transformational moment in its history. With a major expansion underway, you’ll be at the helm of bringing new energy, new audiences, and new stories to life, all while staying true to the soul of a place generations have cherished.

 

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll guide a talented team across marketing, events, tourism and customer experience, curating bold campaigns, vibrant activations, and meaningful community engagement. You’ll champion the Market brand, inspire connection, and create moments that leave a lasting impression, whether through partnerships, PR, retail experiences or one-of-a-kind events.

About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, manage and develop high performing cross functional teams to deliver innovative marketing, retail, customer experience and event practices.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with all levels of management and staff, traders, government agencies, stakeholders, and the community, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven experience in leading complex projects with competing priorities and delivering them to budget, time, and quality standards.
  • Substantial ability to think strategically, analyse complex situations, develop creative solutions and achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support employees in their professional development.
