The Facilities Coordinator supports the ongoing operational performance of the Adelaide Central Market. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this hands-on and dynamic role is responsible for coordinating building maintenance, facility inspections, contractor supervision, compliance activities and trader-facing operational support across the Market.
Working across a Sunday to Thursday roster, this role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the Market, with remuneration reflective of the requirements of the position.
The role will also play an important part in supporting the Market expansion transition and the commissioning of new facilities and infrastructure, helping ensure the Market continues to operate safely, efficiently and above industry standards.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience coordinating facilities, maintenance or building operations activities within a complex operational environment.
- Strong understanding of building maintenance, contractor coordination and facilities management practices.
- Experience supporting WHS compliance activities, contractor inductions and risk management processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond to operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with traders, contractors and internal teams.
- A proactive, hands-on and customer-focused approach, with experience working in a retail, market, shopping centre or public-facing environment highly regarded.
Holding a valid and current South Australian forklift licence is desirable. Candidates who do not currently hold a licence must demonstrate a willingness and ability to obtain one.

This is a full-time permanent position at the Level 4 classification, with a base salary circa $100,000 plus 12% superannuation, reflecting the requirement for regular weekend work.
