Your opportunity
The Adelaide Central Market is one of South Australia’s most loved icons - a vibrant, historic marketplace and meeting place for food, culture and community.

This year marks a significant new chapter for the Market as we introduce the Market expansion and welcome a number of new traders. The expansion will elevate the Market experience through greater variety, quality and innovation while celebrating the very best of produce and hospitality.

As the Market enters this exciting, once-in-a-generation phase, the Adelaide Central Market Authority (ACMA) is seeking an Events and Activations Executive to help shape, build and deliver the Market’s events and activations.

As part of ACMA, the Events and Activations Executive plays a key role in shaping the energy, connection and experience of the Markets. This role curates, manages and delivers a diverse calendar of events, activations and promotions that bring the Markets community together, enhance customer experience and support the delivery of outcomes aligned to the ACMA Strategic Plan, Annual Business Plan and Marketing Plans, all within approved budgets.

Beyond events delivery, this role leads the ACMA Community Engagement Plan, Sustainability Plan and Reconciliation Action Plan, working collaboratively across the organisation and with a broad range of external partners. You will build strong, productive relationships with traders, community groups, schools, media, contractors and precinct stakeholders to deliver meaningful initiatives that strengthen the ACMA brand and its connection to the community.

With a strong balance of creativity and governance, the role provides specialist advice on compliance, best practice and legislative requirements, manages contractors and suppliers, develops engaging content for digital platforms, and ensures all activities are delivered in line with procurement, financial and administrative frameworks. This is a hands-on, people-focused opportunity to create vibrant market experiences, support major programs such as Producer in Residence and home delivery, and contribute to the ongoing growth and evolution of the Markets.
