Your opportunity

This is an exciting time to join the Adelaide Central Market team as we embark on a new chapter in Market history.  As a Customer Experience Attendant, you will be part of the team bringing the expanded Market to life, helping shape how customers experience, discover and connect with this much-loved Adelaide destination.

 

Based at the Market Stall, you will be at the heart of the customer experience, providing a warm and welcoming first point of contact for visitors, stallholders and the wider community. From answering questions and providing local information to assisting with events, merchandise, mobility equipment and lost property, you will help make every visit to the Market a positive one.

 

This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Market Stall while also supporting the broader Market team with events, promotions and administrative activities. Using initiative to find solutions, provide helpful recommendations and create memorable experiences, you will play an important part in how people experience the Market.

 

Most importantly, this will be your opportunity to be part of the next chapter of the Adelaide Central Market and play a hands-on role in helping to shape the customer experience at this iconic destination.

 

Customer Experience Attendants will be required to work over a 7-day roster, with additional shifts available during school holidays, Christmas and Easter trading periods.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Experience in delivering a high level of customer satisfaction in a customer service environment.
  • Attention to detail and able to follow systems and procedures.  
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ideally, you will already hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment purposes.

Please be advised this is a casual opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 1 Classification commencing at $41.97 per hour, inclusive of casual loading + 12% superannuation.
