About the Opportunity 

As part of our People Experience Team, the Coordinator, Learning & Development plays a key role in building a culture of growth, connection, and capability across the City of Adelaide.

 

 

In this role, you’ll design and deliver learning initiatives that strengthen workforce capability, engagement, and performance, helping our people thrive in their roles and careers. You’ll also support leaders and teams to access the right tools, resources, and development opportunities to bring out their best.

 

 

Your work will include curating engaging induction and onboarding experiences, developing and coordinating our annual Learning and Development Plan, and managing our Learning Management System (Learn) to ensure a smooth, positive user experience.

 

 

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with leaders, subject matter experts, and external partners to design and deliver programs that reflect our People Commitment and align with our strategic priorities. From coordinating leadership development to supporting outcomes from our Culture Survey, you’ll help shape initiatives that make a genuine impact on how our people experience work.

About You

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Learning and Development related field and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Significant understanding of the procedures, processes, policies, and legislation required to deliver, record and report on a diverse range of learning and development solutions.
  • Significant experience in successfully developing, co-ordinating, programming and implementing a diverse range of learning and development solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching and analysing best practice, industry trends and providing appropriate recommendations.
  • Proven experience in designing and facilitating various size group workshops, online and face to face, with the ability to engage audiences and deliver innovative learning solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental change management principles to engage key stakeholders and employees by clearly communicating the purpose, benefits, risks and impacts of change.
  • Experience in applying best practice principles to the delivery of learning and engagement initiatives and monitoring and reporting on outcomes.

Please be advised this is full time, fixed term opportunity until January 2027 with a starting salary at the Level 6 Classification commencing between $103,908 - $112,291 + 12% superannuation.
