About Us
Located in the geographic heart of Kaurna Country, the Adelaide Central Market has been an icon in the city for over 150 years and is a community of people: traders, artisans and shoppers who share a passion for food and cultural experiences. The City of Adelaide recognised the important economic and cultural role of the Market and established the Adelaide Central Market Authority (ACMA) to build a solid and sustainable foundation for the Adelaide Central Market’s future.

The Authority’s aim is to operate sustainably as a thriving team of Traders, Board and Management to deliver the vision of being a world leading food and produce market and the heartbeat of South Australia, a vibrant and unique hub of community, diversity and culture.
