About the Opportunity

 

As part of the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) Team the Business & Industry Engagement Advisor engages with the business community and other stakeholders across the City, to support growth in the City’s economy.  and more broadly, assists in identifying new and emerging opportunities, including investment attraction.

 

 

Some of the day-to-day things you may see yourself doing include:

  • Implementing initiatives and activities to support to City businesses.
  • Engaging with city businesses to promote economic development initiatives, programs, and services offered by the agency.
  • Curating and planning corporate engagement events and industry briefings.
  • Managing the Welcome to Adelaide program.
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities to improve business engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Broad understanding of business needs and industry trends across multiple sectors.
  • You are curious, connected and passionate about business and economic growth.
  • You enjoy business networking, building relationships, and identifying opportunities that create impact.
  • Experience in gathering and synthesising market intelligence to identify to identify emerging opportunities and challenges for economic development.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions and achieve outcomes that advance AEDA’s objectives.
  • An aptitude for event planning and project management.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with all levels of management and staff, government agencies, stakeholders and the community, both verbally and in writing.

Please be advised this is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 6 Classification commencing at $103,908 + 12% superannuation.
