About the Opportunity
As part of the Information Management Program, the Applications Support Officer plays an important role in helping people across the organisation get the most out of the systems they use every day. This is a hands-on support role focused on maintaining and improving corporate applications, resolving issues, coordinating upgrades, and working closely with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver reliable and effective technology solutions.
You’ll become a trusted point of contact for a portfolio of applications, building strong working relationships across the organisation while providing practical support, advice, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also contributes to broader Information Management outcomes through collaboration with other Information Management staff, suppliers, and end users to ensure systems remain secure, functional, and aligned to business needs.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys problem solving, learning new systems, and working with people to improve the way technology supports service delivery. You’ll have the chance to build deep expertise in enterprise applications, contribute to system enhancements and reporting capabilities, and support projects that improve the experience of users across the organisation.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ability to provide expert advice to a variety of stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of technologies and applications in use at the CoA and other Councils, such as Pathway, Technology One, Content Manager, Civica
- Proven experience in the application software use within the Corporation or similar.
- Substantial experience in packaged application software management and support.
- Commitment to placing the customer at the centre of everything we do demonstrated through the provision of timely, reliable and expert advice on matters within area of responsibility.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with all levels of management and staff, government agencies, stakeholders and the community, both verbally and in writing.
