About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for six individual Panel Members on our Access and Inclusion Advisory Panel (the Panel) to provide expert advice on improving access and inclusion for people with disability.

The role of the Panel is to provide strategic, expert, and impartial advice to the Administration on the development, implementation, monitoring and review of policies, strategies, projects and plans with the aim of advancing the inclusion of people with disability.

The Panel is a key component in the effective identification and delivery of the City of Adelaide’s Disability Access and Inclusion Plan and the achievement of access and inclusion broadly across the City of Adelaide’s projects and initiatives.

If successful, individual Panel Members will be asked to commit to a two-year membership with the opportunity to reapply for a further two years at the end of their term. It is expected that the Panel will meet approximately 4 times per year on dates and at places to be set out in advance. Meetings are usually between two and four hours.

Individual Panel Members are currently paid a sitting fee of $55 per hour for each official meeting they attend, in recognition of their commitment of time and expertise, plus a 1-hour reading fee of $55. In addition, Individual Panel Members are paid $50 per meeting as a contribution towards participation costs.
